This is a brute force garage door opener. It uses a 12 bit counter to drive 10 transistors as dip switches. By using a universal garage door opener, the transistors force the dip switches open and close one step at a time. With the current very stable values it would take seventeen minutes at the most. By changing the values on the 555 timer this number could be lowered. It uses a frequency divider to “push the send button” twice for each cycle. This insures that there is no error by using two 555 timers. There is an LED readout for the dip switches as well allowing the user to write down what combination opened the door. This should work for any garage door manufactured before 2003.
