Diesel Liberty

Well, it's a jeep. I've considered one of these. It didn't impress me that much. I test drove a gasoline version when I had my Grand Cherokee worked on. It was kinda neat to drive, but the transmission was somewhat slow to pick up. My grand has an excellent torque converter setup. It keeps power to the wheels even when stopped. The liberty requires some acceleration before the converter even kicked in. I felt that the V6 was somewhat underpowered. It was sorta peppy to drive, but didn't have a good feeling top end. My primary dislike was the $25k price tag. Add $3k or so for a diesel. Ouch. For that I could get a diesel truck! Too pricy to make me happy for what I'd be getting.
