My new system uses a Mitsubishi HC1500 projector and a 1.3 gain 103 inch electric 16:9 screen.
The HC1500 is a 1600 Lumen 720p native DLP projector. With my screen, the picture is clear even with the light on.

It's mounted 15 feet from the screen with an inexpensive mount. I have RS-232, HDMI, component and VGA cables run to it from my equipment shelf.
I'm using a PC running Freevo under Ubuntu 7.10 to play video files and DVDs.
A DirecTV HR20 provides HD and SD content via Sattelite.
