Ignition upgrade
This upgrade will help prevent crossfires in the cap, and allow you to run a hotter coil as a result.
Parts:
Distributor Cap
Distributor Cap Adapter(base)
Distributor Rotor
Ignition Wires (with coil wire)
All for a 1981 or 82 ford f-150 with a 300ci I-6 engine. You can also get the advance springs for it as well if you like.
For a hotter coil you can get a ford TFI coil for the same, or MSD whatever.
I use a cheapo stock style coil just fine.

Install:
Just install all the new parts with the same plug order as before.
Your engine should now run a bit happier. Make sure to get BRASS contacts in the cap and rotor. I had to buy a set at autozone to get the brass. If it's aluminum you're just defeating the purpose. I'm not bothering to write up why all this is a good thing. If you want a better explanation, goto:
