iPad blog power…
I’ve finally gone the iPad route. It’s surprisingly handy during conference calls and it’s great for slipping into a motorcycle jacket. It’s not a laptop replacement, but it’s great for in between stuff. Major faults? No printing, no camera. I don’t care about video as much as document capture. I’d like to see it augment my iPhone better… Share the dang Internet connection and perform local file sync… Photos etc.

I really don’t understand. What’s so cool about Ipad? Why ipad is better that a laptop?. The notebooks are ,more cheapper and they have a lot of extra things. On the Ipad is just shinky. People don’t buy it just because they are cool ask yourself if is realy useful and is the right price. But today is all about marketing.

Priniting is coming. Syncing does suck (hey Apple, ever hear of WiFi?), but there is a cool solution for the iPad camera thing if you own an iPhone: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/camera-for-ipad/id366129244?mt=8
It’s a universal app – pay your $.99 once, install on both, pair up and snap shot away. Works amazingly well (if not a little slowly – bluetooth is to blame here – hoping for wifi support in the future).
As for connecting the iPad to the iPhone for Internet, I couldn’t agree more. Maybe RIM tying their tablet to the blackberry for cellular Internet support will set the precident for no-charge tethering. One can hope. Or jailbreak and get the wifi access point app from the Cydia store. I’m seriously thinking about jailbreaking my old 3G to do this with, not sure I want to mess with my iPhone 4 yet…
